Boarding FAQs

Food
While Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital can provide in-house food as needed, we encourage you to bring the food your pet eats at home to enjoy while they stay with us. Changing a pet’s food can cause stomach irritation and digestive issues, so we prefer to feed them the food they regularly eat.
Please only bring us the amount that your pet will need for the stay in a disposable zip-lock bag.
If possible separate each meal in disposable zip-lock bags labeled "AM" for each breakfast meal and/or "PM" for each dinner meal.

Medications
We can administer medications to your pet with an additional fee.
All medications, including joint supplement are given by a veterinary technician as directed.
Prescription medications should be provided in their respective prescription containers, along with clear written directions.
Medications must be kept separate from foods.

Bedding
For all pet’s boarding in our hospital, we provide plenty of clean and comfortable bedding daily. Outside bedding is not permitted unless your pet is boarding in our luxury suites.
Luxury Suite Bedding Guidelines
If you are providing bedding for your pet’s stay in our Luxury Suites we ask that you bring bedding like blankets and other machine washable bedding.
If you bring a stuffed or large style bed for your pet, they may not be launderable based on their size.

Toys
Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital keeps a large stock of balls, tug toys, squeak toys, plush toys and Kong’s of various sizes for pets to enjoy during playtimes.
Outside toys are not permitted unless your pet is boarding in our luxury suites.
Bowls
No need to bring food or water bowls! We provide freshly cleaned stainless steel dishes to your pet daily.
If your pet requires a slow feeder or elevated bowls, you are welcome to bring those as well.
