Radiographs, or x-rays, are an important diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine. Orthopedic problems such as bone fractures, hip dysplasia, and arthritic changes in joints can be seen on radiographs. Other diseases including heart disease, lung disease, and tumors are able to be assessed and diagnosed with the help of radiographs. Swallowed objects which are causing gastrointestinal distress can be diagnosed either with digital x-rays or with the help of intestinal contrast studies.
Ultra sound services are also available by appointment only, when an x-ray is not a sufficient image of an underlying problem.
